Function and Description

High-Tech Coating of the Housing

The Pressure/vacuum relief valve Pressure/vacuum relief valve is an umbrella term that includes pressure or vacuum relief valve as well as pressure and vacuum relief valve. PROTEGO® DR/ES-PTFE Series In-Line Detonation Detonation Explosion propagating at supersonic velocity and characterized by a shock wave (EN 1127-1: 1997). Flame Arresteris distinguished by its unique resistance to adhesive and corrosive media. The use of fluoroplastics as a high-tech housing Housing A housing is a solid shell, which surrounds a content, either protecting the content from external influences, or protecting the environment from the content. coating Coating Coating is the application of a firmly adhering layer of shapeless material to the surface of a workpiece. and as safety flame arrester Flame arrester Device fitted to the opening of an enclosure, or to the connecting pipe work of a system of enclosures, and whose intended function is to allow flow but prevent the transmission of a flame. element is unique throughout the world. The device Device A device is a pipe component that influences the media flow by opening, closing, or partially shutting off the flow channel or by dividing or mixing the media flow. represents a further development of PROTEGO® Flame Arresters Flame Arresters A flame arrester, deflagration arrester, or flame trap is a device or form of construction that will allow free passage of a gas or gaseous mixture but will interrupt or prevent the passage of flame. DR/ES in a right angle design that have been used and proven for decades in industry. The device protects against deflagrations and stable detonations.

Main Component – PROTEGO® Flame Arrester Unit (PTFE)

Once a detonation enters the Flame Arrester, energy is absorbed from the detonation shock wave by the integrated shock absorber Shock absorber A shock absorber is a device that reduces the kinetic energy of a detonation. (1) before the flame is extinguished in the narrow channel of the PTFE FLAMEFILTER® (3). The PROTEGO® Flame Arrester Unit (2) consists of several FLAMEFILTER® discs and spacers firmly held in the FLAMEFILTER® cage FLAMEFILTER® cage The FLAMEFILTER® cage is a housing for a FLAMEFILTER® set. (4). The gap size and number of FLAMEFILTER® discs are determined by the operating data parameters of the mixture flowing in the line (pressure, temperature).
